Have you seen this one station with asteroids encapsulated in it? Amarr mining station or something. Those people (I imagine them as Jetsons families in flying cars) have even their own hangars and even a bilboard.

Lets develop new technologies. Or if you are lazy, park a ship in station, use planetary landing vehicle? There is always a way. But all of it would need a serious justification from game mechanics standpoint.
